FAQs
Where are you based out of?
I am based out of Portland, OR.
How should I prep my skin?
Skin should be cleansed for at least 60 seconds the night before and eyes should be free of residual makeup. Apply serums & moisturizers as usual. In the morning, rinse skin with water and leave clean. If skin is extremely dry/sensitive, I recommend applying usual skincare at least an hour before your appointment.
What is considered local travel? What is your travel fee? How far will you travel?
Local travel includes 15 miles round trip. For example, if a location is 7.5 miles or less from my home address, there is no extra travel fee. After that, travel is $2/mile for anything within driving distance. I will travel anywhere as long as my costs are covered. Anywhere further than a 2 hour drive or a start time before 8 AM may require lodging accommodations.
How far in advance should I book?
For weddings and bridal parties, I recommend booking between 8 and 12 months in advance. That being said, I will of course accept later bookings if I have the availability! Your wedding date is not held until a deposit is placed, but a soft hold is placed once I receive your inquiry- this means I will contact you first to confirm you’ll still be requiring my services if I receive a second inquiry for your date.
Do you offer airbrush?
Yes, I am certified in airbrush makeup by Temptu and Kett Cosmetics. Airbrushing does not refer to the appearance of the makeup, but rather the way the makeup is applied. Both traditional and airbrush applications can result in a flawless, long lasting makeup application, but airbrush is ideal for things such as tattoos or tan lines. Airbrush services are an additional cost.
Can I bring my own lashes?
Yes, you may. The lashes must be brand new in a sealed package and there will be a lash application fee. Lashes must be approved by me prior to application. Please do not hesitate to ask me for lash recommendations! Many are available at drugstores, Sephora, Ulta, etc.
What is included in touch- up services/touch-up kits?
Touch-up services are recommended when photos are going to be taken after the ceremony, or if you are planning on getting really teary-eyed or sweaty! Even professional makeup has its limits. This service is charged by the hour, beginning after the scheduled time of completion for the bridal party. Bridal services all include touch-up kits, and they are available for purchase for special events. Touch-up kits include a small jar of your lip color, a lip applicator, a makeup sponge, a powder puff, translucent powder, mascara wands, cotton buds and a makeup remover wipe.
Can I bring in a reference photo?
Absolutely! I love when someone brings inspiration photos and will always do my best to recreate it, but it is important to note that not all makeup is suitable for all faces and some adjustments may have to be made.
Is there a discount if I book a certain amount of appointments?
No, I do not offer group discounts.
Do you require a deposit to book?
Yes. For bridal packages, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of all booked services is required to secure your date. For all other makeup appointments, a non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to secure your date.
Do you style hair as well?
No, I do not offer hair styling, but I can provide you with some wonderful referrals!
